Hurricane Milton made landfall near Siesta Key, Florida, as a Category 3 storm on Wednesday, October 9, bringing high winds, heavy rain, and storm surges. At least 17 people have died due to Milton and its aftermath, and more than 2 million people remained without power as of Friday.
